The kitchen inside
the buzzing hive
of heaven
is my sister’s kitchen,

and she’s cooking
collard greens.

I’m going to wake her up

like the startle she gets

with her phone in her hand

when she’s been

scrolling

scrolling

scrolling

then here I come,

calling.
